Good Morning Families,
On Tuesday, we went to the Brandt Foundation on 6th Street. Students explored the artist, Kenny Scharf, and the many different painting styles and images he created. At the end of the tour, students were able to create their own tote bag.
Our next trip is on Thursday, December 12th. We will be going to the Staten Island Children's Museum to enhance our study of our current EL Unit: Biodiversity in the Rainforest. If they have not given you the permission slip, please check their backpacks. There is a $5 fee for the trip. We need the permission slips back ASAP. We will be having lunch at the museum. If you are interested in chaperoning the trip, please let us know.
We started a new unit in Math. We are going to be working on ✖️Multiplying and Dividing Fractions ➗. We have attached some resources and videos that you can use to help your child at home.
The Middle School application is open. The deadline for applying to middle school is December 20, 2024. If you have any questions or concerns about the middle school process, please reach out to either one of us or Ms. Sydney, our guidance counselor, and we would be happy to help.
