Principal’s Weekly Message
May 13, 2022
Dear PS 64 Families,
Congratulations to our fifth grade ballroom dancing ambassadors and their families for representing us well at the Mad Hot Ballroom Gala last night at the Edison Ballroom. The students proudly shared their gift of dance for all in attendance and let their light shine. Asir gave a powerfully heartfelt speech on the importance of dancing and the arts in the school curriculum, as it teaches us valuable life skills. Many thanks to Ms. Stone, Ms. Roccanova, Ms. Lukenich and Ms. Guella for accompanying the students last night and making sure they were ready.
This is an open call for PTA officers for the 2022-23 school year. Our current co-presidents and secretary will be stepping down due to their children graduating this year, so we need people to consider nominating themselves or someone they know who may be interested. It’s not as much of a time commitment as you may think, and you will have the support of our parent coordinator to help you with the responsibilities. If you have any questions regarding the role of the PTA officers, please contact the parent coordinator Mary Bosque at MBosque@schools.nyc.gov.
As we continue to celebrate the month of May, the month of the mother, let us continue to honor all of the mothers, grandmothers, Godmothers, aunts, cousins, and all the special women in our lives. Without them, we are nothing.
Have a great weekend. Giving thanks to all of the beautiful women in our school community, I remain,
Yours in service,
Marlon L. Hosang
